The platform

About Engage WorkForce

What is Engage WorkForce?
Engage WorkForce is an all-in-one workforce management platform for Australian and New Zealand businesses. It covers employee scheduling, rostering, time and attendance, payroll preparation, compliance tracking, field workforce tools, contractor management and AI-powered workforce intelligence.
Which industries does it serve?
Any business that rosters shift-based or field-based staff — including security, cleaning and facilities, healthcare and aged care, hospitality, logistics and trades. Browse the industries hub for sector-specific detail.
Is there a mobile app for employees?
Yes. Employees see their shifts, receive push notifications, clock in and out with GPS verification, request leave, complete site checkpoints and submit incident or end-of-shift reports from the mobile app.
Do you serve both Australia and New Zealand?
Yes — the platform handles both countries' time zones and public holidays, and our support team works ANZ business hours. See the dedicated Australia and New Zealand pages.

Pay & compliance

Rates, awards and exports

Does Engage WorkForce handle Australian penalty rates and allowances?
Yes. Pay templates support separate weekday, Saturday, Sunday, night and public-holiday rates plus per-shift and per-hour allowances, daily and weekly overtime thresholds, and tiered overtime multipliers. Public holidays are recognised per state and territory, so a Melbourne shift on a Victorian public holiday prices correctly while Sydney runs at standard rates. Details under payroll preparation.
Does it integrate with Xero?
Yes. Approved paysheets export to Xero Payroll as draft timesheets, and pay rates can sync to employee pay templates so Xero stays current. CSV exports are also available for other payroll systems.
Can it track security licences and certifications?
Yes. Each employee carries a compliance profile — licences, inductions, certificates and documents — with expiry reminders so renewals happen before someone is rostered without a valid ticket. See compliance and licences.
Does it replace my payroll software?
No — and that's deliberate. Engage WorkForce prepares pay-ready data (hours, rates, allowances, overtime, leave) and hands it to your payroll system, like Xero, which remains the system of record for tax and super. You stop re-keying; your payroll platform keeps doing what it's good at.

Getting started

Implementation, data and security

How long does implementation take?
Most teams are live within days, not months. Setup involves loading staff and sites, defining pay templates and rolling your first roster — our ANZ team helps with onboarding on every plan. The How It Works page walks through the journey.
Where is my data stored and is it secure?
Data is stored securely with company-level isolation — every record is scoped to your organisation and never visible to other tenants. Access is role-based, all timestamps are stored in UTC, and key actions carry an audit trail.
Can I manage subcontractors as well as employees?
Yes. Contractors can be rostered, tracked for compliance documents and licences, and included in the same timesheet-to-invoice flow as employed staff. See contractor management.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $6 AUD per employee per month, with the Professional plan at $10 covering payroll preparation, invoicing, compliance and field tools. Full details on the pricing page.
